About Me, Brian Ramos Cazares

I describe myself as a artist,
"Glory and Grace"
Watercolor on Paper

every stroke I make on my painting is just another day I wake up in my life. The day I finish my painting is the day I die. The day I leave my painting behind to the world. Or at least to my family. Or even nobody. My painting can be tucked away, hidden and forgotten. It doesn't matter to me. I'm perfectly happy, don't worry. I learned to live life for myself, to paint for myself. Because in the end, the only person who needs to love the art I make is myself.

This might be a shock but I did not draw my whole life. In fact, I only started to draw in my sophomore year in high school, and at the time I'm writing this, that was 3-4 years ago. They gave me an art class by mistake and ever since I've fallen in love. And of course I started terrible but I dedicated a lot of my time to study art. I studied anatomy, color theory, narrative art, used references like crazy, I completely devoted myself. I worked hard to get good. I don't mean to brag and I'm not trying to boast. I use that to encourage others. That if you really dedicate yourself to something, putting your time, effort, heart, and patience, its possible to become exceptional very quickly. Don't get me wrong, I don't consider myself a master or expert, just experienced. Because I still have a lot to learn.

NOTE: This painting features two characters I made up named Glory (a skull-faced demon king) and Grace (a goddess of light) and I tried to imply that they are in love. They are even married. That is one of my most popular pieces I've done and its not even the full the painting. The full painting is inappropriate for school.
